The School of Public Policy & Administration (SPPA) offers several Minors that are open to any UD undergraduate student who wishes to learn practical, innovative skills and study the ways in which they can facilitate positive changes in their communities, solve societal challenges, and meet goals in the organizations where they will be employed.
Organizational & Community Leadership Minor
The Minor in Organizational and Community Leadership develops your capacity to collaborate, innovate, and lead meaningful change in nonprofit organizations, NGOs, government agencies, and corporations.
Public Policy Minor
The Minor in Public Policy examines how communities address
their complex challenges in such arenas as health, education, housing,
energy, poverty, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. In this program, you will learn to incorporate interdisciplinary perspectives into solving policy challenges that impact all types of communities.
Public Health Minor
The Minor in Public Health, offered by the College
of Health Science in collaboration with the School of Public Policy &
Administration, provides an interdisciplinary opportunity to develop
practical skills in program development and increase knowledge in the
areas of social systems, social policy, and leadership. It is available to UD undergraduate
students in all majors, and helps develop a greater
appreciation for the application of public health concepts to various
fields of study.
