Student Leighton Trimarco poses for a photo with her poster presentation, accompanied by Kelly Sherretz and Haley Qaissaunee

IPA Summer Public Policy Fellow Leighton Trimarco is joined by her staff mentor, Kelly Sherretz, and Haley Qaissaunee. Trimarco's presentation, Utilizing Digital Platforms to Enhance Community Outreach and Engagement, highlighted digital initiatives deployed by the Wilmington Education Improvement Commission to better engage its cross-sector stakeholders.

Six students represented the Institute for Public Administration (IPA) at the ninth annual Undergraduate Research and Service Scholar Celebratory Symposium. The day-long symposium highlighted the research and accomplishments of over 500 University of Delaware summer scholars.

To prepare for the symposium, IPA’s summer public policy fellows collaborated with staff mentors to tailor a research project and presentation to the scope of their work over the summer.  Participating public policy fellows joined their peers at the Patrick T. Harker ISE Lab to present a combination of posters and PowerPoint decks on August 9, 2018, with presentation topics ranging from community outreach-focused digital endeavors to economic factors influencing Delaware and beyond.
