SPPA's student groups offer wonderful chances for student networking while participating in meaningful activities. All SPPA students should participate in some, or all, of the student groups in order to get the most out of their time in SPPA!
Student Association of Policy and Administration - SAPA

SAPA is the official SPPA student organization. SAPA is dedicated to:
- Facilitating communication between the faculty, staff and students of the SPPA
- Advocating for the interests of SPPA students by providing a representative forum for their opinions
- Participating in the development and formation of policy and practices as they relate to students of the School
- Making recommendations to the administration of the School on all matters determined pertinent to students
- Participating in the professional development of SPPA students
- Providing social and networking opportunities to SPPA students
- Engaging constructively in the community on a local, regional and
national level to improve administration and the development of policy.

New Visions for Public Affairs - NVPA

NVPA is a student-run organization that
publishes an online scholarly journal New Visions for Public
Affairs and hosts an annual research symposium. The journal features
articles and other written works of SPPA students at the University of Delaware.
Students from other University of Delaware departments also contribute written work to the journal.

International Association of Emergency Managers at UD

IAEM@UD is the University of Delaware’s student chapter of the International Association of Emergency Managers, a professional organization devoted to advancing the art and science of emergency management.
In keeping with the principles of a profession, emergency management blends theory and practice for addressing urgent social problems related to risk, hazard, and disaster. IAEM@UD hosts a variety of events and programs each academic year, and is housed in the Disaster Research Center. Learn more about IAEM@UD and sign up for email updates.
