Registering for courses in your first semester
You will be mailed a list of courses available shortly before orientation. Look for the mailing from the School office about 3 weeks before the start of the semester. Don't worry, new School of Public Policy and Admnistration students won't have a problem registering for UAPP courses.
New students may register prior to meeting with their advisor at orientation, if they have a loan which requires them to be registered before the money can be disbursed. All other new students should wait to register for classes until they meet with their advisor at orientation. If you have trouble registering, see Linda Boyd or Diana Simmons in 184 Graham Hall. Students must be registered by the end of the late registration or drop/add period, which lasts through Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Please note: Classes begin on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 8:00 a.m.
Advisement
Your advisor and/or research center faculty may suggest a combination of core courses and introductory specialization courses. Students are free to change advisors at any time. Forms to change advisors are available at the School administration office in 184 Graham Hall.
Registering
Once you receive advisement, there are a number of ways you can actually register:
- online using the UDSIS (Student Information System)
- on the kiosks at the Student Services Building
- register at the School administration office in 184 Graham Hall
You will need to establish a UDelNet ID and password in order to use the UDSIS system to register.
It would be a good idea to become familiar with the required or core courses for your degree program and the specialization courses you have to chose from.
