Revised Master of Public Administration Curriculum For Students Entering Program-Fall 2010

MPA candidates are required to complete 42 credit hours to earn the degree. The curriculum consists of core requirements, specialization courses, an internship for those at entry level or changing their careers, and a writing requirement.

 As part of their electives students are encouraged to take advantage of mini-courses, which are one-credit, skill based courses designed to develop and enhance proficiencies necessary for effective public and nonprofit management.

(1) The Internship Experience is a requirement for all MPA students who do not possess significant prior professional work experience.
