Graduate Student Safety Orientation

Your safety is important to us!

School of Urban Affairs & Public Policy Grad Student Safety OrientationAccording to University policy, the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy is required to provide safety orientation
for new graduate students in conjunction with the Department of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) on campus.
The time you take now to complete safety training could be very valuable to you when you least expect it.

It is your responsibility to complete the safety training requirement and to provide verification to the School of
Urban Affairs and Public Policy administrative office.

It is advised that new students complete this safety orientation before the start of the semester so you'll have it
out of the way and you'll be prepared from the beginning of the semester.

You must satisfy the University's Safety Program Orientation requirement in one of the following ways:

  1. Review material in the New Graduate Student Safety Training outline prepared by the Department of Occupational Health and Safety.
  2. View the New Graduate Student Safety Orientation Slide Presentation.
  3. Enroll in the OHS WebCT course. (You must have set up your UD account and password.)
  4. Attend a session of the Safety Program Orientation held by the Department of Occupational Health and Safety as listed in their training schedule.

Please turn in your New Graduate Student Training Certificate to 184 Graham Hall. We will also collect completed
certificates during the School orientation. The School office will then forward a copy to the Dept.
of Occupational Health and Safety.
